A little update...

So nursing school is crazy and taking every bit of extra time I have! I have hardly picked up my camera!! Sad I know but all for a great cause... One day I will be a nurse and then I will have my photography to enjoy! I am doing surprizingly well in my classes making "b's" on my tests and I passed my dosage calculations on the FIRST try!! The next two years will be interesting to say the least but hey if it wasn't it wouldn't be worth it!!

Our very first "official wedding"... We were very excited to have the honor and opportunity to photograph their wedding. It was truly a beautiful ceremony.

Ahhh... Weddings!!

My favorite thing about weddings is the romance of it all... Chris and Jenn are full of romance, if you are around them for a few minutes you can really see the love they have for one another. Which made it very easy to photograph them!! Being only our second wedding I think we did a really good job, but you can see for yourself...

The pictures below are my creative side... some are more dramaitc than others but I think they turn out great...

Back to school!

What a crazy week!! The boys are back in school and I am trying to get my house one final "spring cleaning" before I go back myself!! I hope to have a few more sets put up this weekend...

Emma Kate

These first three pictures are from Emma's first shoot, she was only 2 weeks old! We were at her house so she would be comfortable! Once again I learned a lesson or two...

As you can tell Emma's family are HUGE Bama fans!! I can't wait to see her in her first cheerleading uniform... I met them out in Helena yesterday for some family shots and more baby shots, and well it was so hot and humid, even at late evening, that our little "Bama Princess" didn't agree with the session!! Lesson learned! I got a couple of shots though!!

Random Scenic Views

One thing I learned from my photography teacher was to look at EVERYTHING differently. And I do, there is nowhere I go and nothing I see that doesn't appeal to me now. I can see the fine art in just about anything...

Tristan

My cousin was up from Florida and allowed me to use Tristan for some practice. He certainly has a mind of his own and taught me a lesson or two about photographing children. You really have to let them lead while you follow, once you understand that you can really get some good stuff from them!!

My first "official" shoot! I had a wonderful subject! Bella really loves the camera and as you can tell the camera loves her as well!

Ok so maybe there is a equal version to my boys and that would be my nieces!! I couldn't ask for a more beautiful family!!

My first portrait subjects...

If you have kids you start out taking pictures of them... of at least that's how it started for me! I mean do they get any cuter?? I am not bias or anything... They next four shots are of the boys right before their birthday this past March. It was my first time to try outside portraits...

This was a lighting assignment for class... we all had a blast doing it and the pictures didn't turn out too bad either...

This is call painting with light!! long exposure in the dark and a laser light!! FUN!!
